When your TiVo Mini VOX arrives, be sure to locate the "Start Here" poster inside the box. It is your step-by-step guide to get your Mini VOX quickly up and running.

Sync TiVo Mini VOX with your TiVo box.

TiVo BOLT® and TiVo Roamio® DVR users

TiVo BOLT VOX, TiVo BOLT and TiVo Roamio DVRs have a new Dynamic Tuner Allocation feature. This means you do not have to "Allow Live TV on other devices" on your TiVo box. It's all ready to go and you can skip step 2 in the TiVo Mini VOX "Start Here" poster.

TiVo Premiere® DVR users

If connecting your TiVo Mini VOX to a TiVo Premiere 4 or Premiere XL4, remember to "Allow Live TV on other devices" on your Premiere DVR before setting up your TiVo Mini VOX. This is in Step 2 of the TiVo Mini VOX "Start Here" poster.

If you receive the error message, "TiVo DVR Not Found" during the onscreen guided setup, you must do the following:

  • Call TiVo Customer Support at 877-367-8486 to confirm that your TiVo Mini VOX and TiVo DVR are correctly synced on the same account.
  • Once confirmed, unplug the TiVo Mini VOX.
  • On your host TiVo DVR, go to TiVo Home > Settings & Messages > Settings > Network > Connect to the TiVo Service Now. Repeat this step twice so your TiVo DVR recognizes your new TiVo Mini VOX.
  • Plug in your TiVo Mini VOX.
  • The TiVo Mini VOX guided setup process will restart, allowing you to complete the setup process.
